As a Mechanical Integrator in the Entertainment and Live Events industry, I inspect, install, maintain and repair lifting equipment, machinery and staging.

This covers a wide range of markets, including Cruise Ships, temporary and permanent installations in theatres, concert and circus touring, and brand activations.

I have a qualification in the examination of Powered Lifting Machines from LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineer's Association). Formally, my training is in Technical Theatre - I have a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honours from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama - London, where I specialised in Theatrical Automation, Rigging and Virtual Production, and a broader understanding of scenic carpentry, stagecraft, lighting and set electrics and sound engineering, with a brief spell of software engineering.

I actively maintain the following skillsets: Thorough Examination of Lifting Equipment under LOLER 1998, Steel Wire Rope Examination to ISO 4309:2017, Rope Access (IRATA Level 1), Installation of Lifting Appliances in the Entertainment Industry, Understanding of BS EN 17206:2020, BS 7905, BS 7906, EN 13411.
